Read Below:
The blanket of frost over the graveyard has melted;
Winter is over.
The first rays of Spring's sunshine seep through the soil to where I lie.
Her warm breath on my cheek wakes me gently
I shake off the dirt with a sigh.
I notice my frozen bones, my thin, paper skin, like hospital sheets
I notice my heart, beginning to wake, I feel its ever-quickening beats.
I sit up in my wooden bed and reach a hand up through the earth
Fresh air hits my palm, and with it: life, love, and rebirth.
